Sub-steps are useful if you want to break down an activity into smaller parts. There are two ways to make sub-steps in a task or template.
1. Use tab to indent and shift + tab to outdent
To indent a step, place your cursor in front of the step name and press the tab key on your keyboard. In the example below, I've changed 'Attach form to email' to step 1.1.
Similarly, if you wish to make a sub-step into a normal step, place your cursor in front of the step name and on your keyboard press shift & tab.
You can have many levels of sub-steps if required.

2. Drag and drop the steps
You can also use the 'Move' icon in the top left hand corner of each step to create sub-steps. In the example below there is the option to move the step to step 2, or to step 1.1.
